Why is brine worse than road salt?
Michigan treats winter roads with rock salt and liquid brine, and the brine is the sneaky one. It mists up off the pavement at highway speed, rides into cavities that salt crystals never reach, and keeps pulling moisture out of the air long after the roads dry. That's why trucks rust from the inside out, in places you can't see until it's too late.

What's the difference between rustproofing and undercoating?
Rustproofing protects the inside: the enclosed cavities in doors, rockers, and frame rails where moisture sits and rust starts. Undercoating protects the outside of the underbody from salt spray, brine, gravel, and road debris. Doing both covers a truck from the inside out.
Do you drill holes in my truck?
No. ValuGard is fogged into enclosed areas through existing openings, so it reaches doors, rockers, and frame rails without drilling.
When should I rustproof?
As soon as you can. New trucks get the most out of it, because there's no rust to fight yet. Older trucks still benefit: the treatment pushes out moisture and slows rust that has already started.
What does the ValuGard warranty cover?
ValuGard is a two-part system with OEM approvals. New vehicles under 1,000 miles receive a lifetime warranty against rust-through perforation. Used vehicles between 1,001 and 36,000 miles receive a 7-year warranty if no rust is present. We'll confirm which one your truck qualifies for at the free inspection.
